We spent all day exploring this ancient capital of Siam. At the National Museum Bee summarized the inscription stone which holds the original Thai alphabet. This 13th c. kingdom enjoyed peace and prosperity while the beautiful complex of pagodas, gardens and temples were built. Most of us were fitted with bicycles, comfy big seats and 3 gears, which we rode through Phi Mai historical park to explore outlying temples. Our camera is broken so we have to rely on these notes and the descriptive brochures for the places we visit. The English translations make for some interesting reading.
