We went to Luoyang old section and folk museum before departing for train station. We were supposed to have a shadow puppet show but the lighting was broken. Saw puppets and a bunch of other stuff in the museum which used to be an inn for Chinese Businessmen. Saw an exhibit of a local woman’s paintings.

Ate lunch near train station where the manager and staff had us pose for pictures and gave us Mao pins and toy gifts. Train to Xi’an was 6&1/2 hours, gradual uphill. There were lots of winter wheat, rape, and some fruit trees in bloom. Cave dwellings. Met our bus and local guide, Ling, and on to hotel 17th floor. Dinner in a big banquet hall with German and French tour groups.
