Shaolin Temple Pagoda Forest

Talk about a wild bus ride! Lots of slow trucks on a pitted, wide country road. Passing 3 abreast on curves with traffic coming at us. Safe driver, though. We visited Shaolin Temple Pagoda forest.

Kung Fu School

Then off to a Kung Fu school for a fantastic demonstration. This is the center for Kung schools. Kids from 31/2 through high school. The school we visited had 4,000 students. Others up to 10,000. Also saw a funeral procession lead by a truck shooting off fire crackers.

White Horse Temple

After lunch we visited White Horse Temple. Walked around the park after dinner and saw line dancing, whip cracking and amateur musicians. Wine for Passover with Perlmutters, a couple who moved to Israel 30 years ago and now live near Tel Aviv when they aren’t traveling.
