    Terra Cotta Warriors

Ann is back to normal. Breakfast upstairs in revolving dining room was a blessing with its great variety. A. had soft egg and congee- delicious. We bused to Terra Cotta Warrior Museum on the site of the actual dig, a burial site discovered only in 1974. It was quite amazing. Ling gave us a bus talk and was visibly upset when she was asked about her personal experience during the cultural revolution. Her grandparents were small land owners and the whole family was brutally humiliated by the Red Guards. All our Chinese guides praise Deng Shao Ping, not Mao.

    Xi'an City Wall

After a so-so lunch we bused to the Xi’an City Wall and climbed up to walk a little of the 8 mile circumference. Views were good on a nice sunny day, though still much haze. Bob rested and Ann went on tour of a Jade Factory and Shop. Dinner was at the Hotel, then a short bus ride to “Tang Dynasty Music and Dance” performance. It was actually a dinner theatre with a Vegas style show, entertaining, but corny and performers not always together. Fun, though.
