Because we were not riding today, we slept in this morning until 7:00. Dick and I along with several others from our group ate at the motel's café. I had eggs, greasy home-style potatoes, etc. This is the typical breakfast in Canada, following the American tradition. While we were eating, I spied a large truck with "SYSCO" written on its side. I guess that SYSCO supplies a lot of the restaurants that we would go to during our trip. The food began to look and taste the same after a few days.

After breakfast, I took a walk around Waterton on its recreational path. It took me along the lake and then past Cameron Falls. The weather was becoming hot and my stomach was feeling a little upset. I think it was because of the non-potable water that I drank at the Canadian border. This was the water that the border patrol people said that they drank all of the time and that it was OK. Ha! My walk ended at the hotel where I took a couple of stomach-settling pills. While I was in my room I cleaned my bicycle out on our balcony.

Dick got back from his hike at lunch time, so we went to Subway for a sandwich. My problematic stomach could not keep me from eating. Jim Woo then joined us for a trek up to the Prince of Wales Hotel. This picturesque hotel sits on a bluff overlooking the lake. It is a prime location for taking pictures of the surrounding countryside. The weather was very hot and the wind was blowing very hard. We had to steady ourselves to take decent pictures.

After I got back to our room, I read for awhile and took a short nap. Because of my stomach problem, I ate solo at a Chinese restaurant - steamed rice and chicken with vegetables.
