We went to a bike shop to get Dick's rim fixed. He dented it on a downhill the other day. Fortunately we were close to Utaradit so Lap drove the truck back there and picked up his other bike. The bike shop was a racers' shop with a minimum amount of bikes and equipment. I tried to buy a jersey, but the sizes were too small. When we got back to the hotel, we walked around for a while, ate lunch at a really good curry streetside cafe, and used the internet. After that, I got a Thai haircut and went back to my room to rest. Dinner was at the night market. There are a bunch of stalls selling everything you can think of in Thailand include grub worms and crickets. I had satay, broiled pork and chicken and spring rolls along with a beer and then a mango slushy. BTW, the hotel in Chiang Rai, The Wangcome, is first class with very nice rooms and an excellent breakfast buffet that includes Thai coffee, waffles, bacon, cereal, eggs and a lot of other things. It's a tour bus hotel , though, so it is very crowded at breakfast.
