Train Route from Uttaradit to Bangkok
    (Red Line)

Barbara, Carol and I got up early today and took the train back to Bangkok. We are staying at the Federal Hotel until we leave for home. I came back a day early mainly because I wanted to spend more time in Bangkok. We hired the head bellman at the hotel in Uttaradit to get his pickup and haul our three bikes, luggage and ourselves to the train station. Barbara rode in the cab while Carol and I rode in the back holding onto the bikes so they wouldn't roll around. It was only about 1K to the station so we made it without incident. The train ride was looooong. I enjoyed it because I could graze on all of the cheap food. I had at least four meals today. Some of the food I didn't recognize. It was good anyway.

When we got to Bangkok 9 hours later, we rounded up our luggage and bikes and piled them and our bodies into one tuk tuk for the ride to the Federal Hotel. To those who don't know what a tuk tuk is, picture a motorized rickshaw. We had bikes and luggage hanging out the backs and sides. Cased a few laughs along the way. Wish I had a picture.
