Guess I didn't mention the haze. It's always smoky with a brown haze. Unlike China and its coal fires, this is from wood fires. The Thais clear land by burning it. My throat is very dry from it and a slight cold that I got.

This has been a good day off of the bikes. We did a city walking tour this morning. Our guide was a relation to Pin, Pan. She's a college student studying business English. She wants to be a hostess in a tourist hotel. She speaks good English and did a real nice job showing us around. The highlight was when we passed a school (6 - 12th grade). A seventh grade girl's English class was outside learning about American culture. They asked us to join them. They were learning about Halloween. They carved pumpkins, painted themselves and had an apple bobbing contest. They sang to us when we came in and when we left.

I had dim sum for lunch and pad thai in a sidewalk stall for dinner.
