    Gingerbread House on our Ship

This was another laid back day while we sailed to our next destination. We ate well, relaxed well and got to know the ship a little better. We broke out the Rummikubs to play a few games in the Wintergarden. This room on Deck 7 is primarily used for special gatherings and high tea in the afternoon. It is usually unoccupied the rest of the time. For the holiday season, the room had a large display of fancy gingerbread houses. We took advantage of its quiet time to play our game. Ann had not learned how to play, so the five of us had our own battle.

We went to a good lecture by Dr Sherry Hutt entitled "Ilse du Salut - The Infamous Prisoners of Devil's Island" which is our next port. We also went to the port talk to find more about the island and how to tour it. After dinner in the World Cafe we sat down on the Pool Deck and watched the 2018 movie "Papillon". What a downer.

After the movie we went to bed and tried to forget it.
