Weather high in the low 80s, low in the mid-70s with some showers. ​

We weighed anchor at dinner time on New Years Day and sailed from the Amazon onto the Atlantic Ocean on our two-day journey to Scarborough, Trinidad and Tobago. We managed to occupy our time as before on sea days. We went to lectures, played Rummikubs, walked the deck, listened to port talks, enjoyed entertainment in the Star Theater, relaxed by reading and ate very good meals. Ann went swimming in the ship's pool. The sea was rough at times which made deck walks problematic.
