BAC Pics Panama Canal Cruise 2016

  • March 19 - At Sea

Today was another sea day - no stops. We had our meals in the main dining room. Lunch is served in the dining room only on sea days. We like it because it avoids the hassle of crowds in the buffet. My breakfast was muesli, pastry and coffee. I ate an orange in our stateroom. Ann had granola, toast and coffee. For lunch I had a really good pastrami sandwich. Ann had soup and sandwich. We had another dress dinner. Sans tie but with blazer, I had a fruit/avocado cocktail, lobster tails and a mango tartin. Ann in her nice dinner dress had a green salad, lamb chops and chocolate tart. Now that our meals have been journaled, here s the rest of our day.

We went to a talk about what we can see in the next ports of call and in the Panama Canal. I then went to a cooking demo where we learned how to make chilled avocado soup with fresh ginger and lime cream as well as shrimp scampi with curry mango butter. We sampled the soup. I don't think I'll be making these at home.

In the afternoon, we went to a lecture about the Panama Canal. Then we lazed around for a while.

After dinner we did some laps around the Prominade Deck and sat in on a couple of music pieces by a piano and violin duo. Ann went back to our room while I went to the Vista Lounge and saw the first couple of songs by the Shades of Bublé, a trio that sang a tribute to Michael Bublé.

This is where we sailed today:
