After yestarday's excitement of sailing through the Panama Canal, we had a relaxing day at sea. We began by having breakfast in the main dining room. An advantage of eating there in the morning is that we get to meet new people. This morning we sat with couples from Riverside, CA and Calgary, Alberta. We had a good conversation. I continued to run into the man from Calgary throughout the cruise. This morning, I tried the Belgium waffles. They were not very good. Ann had her standby oatmeal. ​

I spent part of the morning wandering around the ship taking photos of interesting objects that were on permanent display. The rest of the morning was taken up by a tour of the kitchen. The staff put on a great display for us and set out goodies for us to sample. The kitchen is huge and extremely clean.

After the kitchen tour, we had lunch at the buffet on the Lido deck. Then we lazed around the rest of the afternoon reading and napping.

Our dinner tonight was another gala affair. Bob and I decided to be less formal and go without ties. Looking at the other guests at dinner, men were dressed from very casual to very formal wearing tuxedos. We were in-between. The dinner was one of my favorites because they served us king crab. Ann can't eat shellfish, so she had roast lamb.

We settled our dinner with three laps which was one mile around the Promenade Deck. We skipped the entertainment tonight. It was a repeat of Shades of Bublé. ​
