Poolside at The Orquideas Inn

We retraced our route on the Pan American Highway to San Jose. We dropped Cecilia at the airport, turned in our rental car, and took a taxi to our overnight hotel the Orquideas Inn. The inn boasts of "over 10 acres of lush tropical gardens teeming with exotic tropical fruits, flowers, birds and butterflies". It has a nice pool, a "Marilyn Monroe" bar, a good restaurant and an excellent buffet breakfast. After we settled in, we took a stroll down the road to a liquor store and bought some pricey rum to take on the next leg of our journey.
