Our three-night stay at Auberge Gisele's Country Inn was over this morning after we had our served breakfast. Our bus ride was a long one. We were leaving Nova Scotia and traveling to Prince Edward Island (PEI). Along the way, we stopped at the Pictou Lodge and Beach Resort for lunch. Our group commandeered the restaurant area with large picture windows overlooking a small lake next to the lodge and the Northumberland Straits. We ate buffet style sampling several kinds of pizza.

We had time after lunch to walk around the grounds of the resort. We spotted a bald eagle in a tree near the lake.

Back on the bus, we drove a short distance to the terminal of the Northumberland Ferry to make our way to Wood Island on PEI. The ferry was huge. There were at least three decks for cars, trucks and busses. The upper decks had both inside and outside seating for passengers. The crossing was smooth.

Arriving in Charlottetown, we checked in at The Hotel on Pownal. Our section of the hotel was more like an upscale motel. Our room was comfortable, clean and had hot water. A buffet dinner was in one of the large rooms in the conference center.

The entertainment for the day was a performance of Belles Soeurs at the Confederation Centre of the Arts. The venue was comfortable and mostly filled. Although we enjoyed the play, we had trouble relating to it.
