We ate the wonderful breakfast at the B&B before Nan picked us up with our Guide, Keugh, and drove us to Angkor Wat. Immense stones created an enormous compound with many structures that are still standing. The famous 5 towers were outstanding ruins, though the steep climbs up and down the north side of the tallest tower were the most terrifyingly memorable!

After delicious lunch at the B&B we were driven to the famous walled city of Angkor Thom. This was even a larger area to cover than Angkor Wat with Keugh continuing to school us in Cambodian history and share his encyclopedic knowledge of ancient art and civilization in this region. It left us exhausted and happy to return to Journeys Within at 6. We planning to meet Lynne and Diane from our ET Vietnam tour for dinner tonight. We looked for the Restaurant Mondial in vain, so kind Nan delivered us to Restaurant Lowken in Siem Reap for a buffet and folk dancing show. Before leaving us at the buffet Nan arranged for a TukTuk to meet us after dinner so we got an amazing ride home vicariously enjoying the Khmer celebration of Chinese New Year
