BAC Val d'Aosta 2012

I am stuffed. We just got back from our first group dinner. I had a large salad with warm goat cheese to start. Then Julie Leever and I split a main course of guinea hen and risotto with saffron and asparagus. I finished with cake with fresh apples and whipped cream. It's late so I might have a little trouble sleeping tonight.

My day was uneventful. Although some of our group decided to do our optional rides, several of us looked at the rain and the threatening clouds and decided to stay in town. We walked around in the morning and then had lunch. I thought that I might ride after lunch but it was sprinkling again, so I decided not to.

I wasted the rest of the day trying to resolve some blogging issues, catching up on emails and reading. Tomorrow, we ride to the next city on our itinerary so I have no excuses to be lazy.
