It was cool when we stared out this morning at 10:00. Our ride was named Day 0 because it was the day before the real tour starts. Most of the riders had not arrived. Our group of five included Julie and Tom Leever, John Beland, Trever Frid and me. Tom turned around but the rest of us rode together for the entire route. We caught a glimpse of Lake Iroquois early on. A coffe/pastry break in Hinesburg gave us enough fuel to get us home. We had lots of steep rollers passing many farms and pumpkin fields. We saw red barns and a few farmers' markets. The last part of the ride was on bike paths along Lake Champlain and through a very busy downtown Burlington. This is a college community and all of the students were mobbing the cafes.

John and I had refreshments in the Windjammer Pub when we got back. Our Happy Hour was at 5:30 where we met all of the riders. I knew some of them from previous BAC rides. Dinner was buffet-style. I had pork medallions, carrots with a maple syrup sauce, and roasted red potatoes. Cheesecake for dessert.
